It's no different than buying a car from the mainland as we are part of the uk only difference Is the m.o.t.In the mainland I think you take your car to a registered garge we take our car to a government vehicle testing centre but will still cover you until you until it expires after 1 year.Unsually you will find these cars are cheaper than the mainland

Yes I have, although it was a Delorean
Cost me £25 admin fee in 2001 as they did in fact class it as an import action.
I said to the guy on the phone so the car is registered in Coleraine NI, I'm "importing" it to St Neots England and you want me to register it in Swansea Wales?.
Still had to pay the £25

Its was a little different. I brought a car over in 2008 and had to import it, but according to this it's all the same now, https://www.gov.uk/importing-vehicle...rthern-ireland.
When I did it, it was the same form as importing from europe but no certificate of conformity was required.
