Wheel covers for travelling on a trailer.....
Does anyone know of any decent wheel covers that I could use for travelling my Scooby on a trailer, to and from track days? They are new rims, so I don't really intend on letting the ratchet straps wreck them.
Any help is muchly appreciated!

A quick search has revealed quite a few on E-bay.
Mostly spare wheel covers (around the £12-£20 mark) but there's a US firm doing sets of 4 motorhome ones for around £100 (£40-ish + £60 postage !).
(These are designed to drop on the wheels without taking them off or jacking it up).
My spare set of wheels are in German covers, with carrying handles, but I can't seem to find the make.
If you're stuck I'll put the wording through a translator, see if I can come up with anything.

Thank you both, I was just seeing if anyone had found anything that stood up to some stick from the straps. Not looking for thin material wheel covers. Blankets sound like a good idea, also :P

How about both ?
You'll save yourself a warm-up lap or two !
Seriously though, I think mine are built to be sturdy, although thin. The wheels can be carried in them (they have a handle strap) so I'm assuming that they'd be pretty resistant to chaffing and tearing.
Hopefully though someone who's done or doing it already will come up with something.

if you do use any form of cover while towing an open trailer, make sure the cover is properly secured or it will polish the paint off edges as it flaps about!!
be it wheels or body panels.
ps i never had any trouble trailering my old 3dr with a set of brand new wheels and only using ratchet straps.
