Side lights bulbs :wonder:
Not the most exciting topic,
Fitted a pair of new sidelights to my classic as one was starting to let water in. left the Bulbs in that come with the new lights as the old ones was wet and starting to corrode , new ones horrible yellowish light, doesnt look right right with my 'White/Blue xenons'
Quick check on ebay, can pick new bulbs up for 1p-£24!!. Are all 501 bulbs the same? am i better off just getting some 50p ones that are white? am i better with the led version?
or maybe i shouldn't worry over something as little as a bulb.

Get some 'super bright white LEDs' from Auto bulbs direct.
I've had a set of them fitted in the RB's side lights for maybe 5 years now & they are a perfect match for the white OE HIDs! Think they cost me maybe £10 for the pair..

LED 501s look good on their own but they will then make your headlights look yellow if you've normal H4 bulbs fitted, the best looking combo I ever found was LED sidelights and a 6000k HID kit, though plenty of people will tell you not to run HIDs in classic lights without a projector mod. I had them in my crystal Ph2 lights in my classic without dazzling other drivers but I bought a crap set that had HID dip beam and yellow, dim, halogen main beam. I eventually got fed up of not being able to see anything on main so I junked the kit and bought some decent H4 bulbs, however one day when I've got some spare cash I might buy another HID kit and make sure its high/low this time
