Thread's going well

Genuine question, given the low numbers of hatch/saloons sold, what business sense does it make investing in a defunked limited run shape impreza for the purposes of making aftermarket parts ? I see the sense in MY01-07 because of the long production run but with these it's going to be pretty fruitless I imagine. In addition, given the warranty issues with non standard cars and the certainty that your engine is going to expire within the warranty period, how many people are going to invest in warranty voiding parts ? I think your potential customer base is going to be alarmingly small ?

I hope you've bought it just to have fun in for yourself but I reckon you'll struggle to make anything of significant value or long term profitability

Hi Stuart,

I bought the car because I have wanted one since the model came out as I love the look,. We also have a customer in the States that rally 9 of these cars so I can now offer them extra parts which I couldnt before .
I will be able to offer 93-09 products aslo

Think I will stick to the Hatch thread

Cool, was a genuine question, please don't think otherwise If you have in roads into the US market then I think you'll certainly widen your potential. I think the Subaru market will be a fraction of what it is now in 5 years and I can't see the later cars representing much of that remaining customer base tbh.

I really like the later cars, and the Saloon I saw today on the way home from work was stunning You'll love yours the one I tested had a far superior seating position to the 01-07 imprezas which is a big deal when you are used to low seated classics

Enjoy,

Stu

can you do bodywork? It badly needs a makeover...I mean, Rover 25 or what?

It will go down in history as the model that killed the UK Impreza scene.
