If you've got a smart phone you can download Torque or torque pro onto it and then connect it to the car with an elm327 blutooth interface. You can see live data, bhp, 0-60, 40-60, 60-80 times etc as well as read and erase fault codes.

+1 for Torque on your smart phone. I have loads of diagnostic software on my laptop with a USB OBDII connector but always end up using my Note 2 with a Bluetooth OBDII dongle as its loads more convenient. Great for the Subaru as you can set up different displays depending on what sensors are active, I generally have mine set as a boost gauge.
Have also used it to plot a graph of boost against revs to see where peak boost is coming in.
I've also reset the engine management on loads of cars and its works great, gives the fault description and code then can reset if you require.
Dongle is less than £20 and Torque about £3, or less if you have a rooted android phone

Yeah they are on IOS too, just search for Torque on the App Store and search Amazon for Bluetooth ELM327 OBDII. They are a piece of **** to use for simple functions, can take a bit of setting up for the advanced functions but you'll be reading and clearing fault codes in seconds.
