Was just going to start a thread asking the same question as I just had me points email.

Was not on the forecourt this morning as I had to fill up again. The joys of Scooby ownership!

I've been trying to find where to buy it so I can give it a try but there's nothing specific to Nitro+ on the online station locator at the moment.

Is this the track day fuel at 102 octane? I read it in a Le Mans magazine on Sunday and there's only going to be a few selected garages around the uk stocking it and I'm lucky to have 1 10 miles down the road

Anyone know the Octane value? I'm guessing its a re-branded V-Power.

As usual...

To be fair though, the traffic is moving so fast in London there will be such an advantage for the users.

We HAD two Shell stations here.

Now we don't have one within 30 miles. We are now reliant on the customer service kings to provide us with Momentum...when they can be bothered to GET any.

Be interested to see what the actual octane rating is, that information I thought was supposed to be available at the pump/kiosk.

Pretty certain this is just V-Power re-branded as the 2 shell stations I've filled up at this week have both had the Nitro and no V Power. Both previously had V Power!

I've just filled up and then I went for a short (25 mile) cruise and blast.

On a 2:1 mix V-Power Nitro+ to BP Ultimate (don't ask, I got caught short a couple of days ago!), I thought it gave a noticably smoother engine spin - as if my (forged 2.1) stroker was a little more balanced. Felt nice.

And it was around the same price per litre.

According to the staff at my local Shell garage, it's 99 octane and it's the new V-Power and it was offered at all pumps on the forecourt.

I'll be giving it a fuller run later this evening.

It's just a name change.

Still 99 octane. The woman in the garage said they've just added "stuff" to it.

I asked her if they'd added diamonds to justify the price.................Strangely she didn't laugh.

It's replacing V-power, and apparently went down pretty damn well in a high spec Supra http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=46879

Calm down peeps
It's just re branded V power with a few more chemicals added ( friction modifier ) to coat cylinder walls - it's marketing strategy to justify fuel increase at the pump / if you allready run V power ,, I vry much doubt you will see a differance ,, after all they havnt added anything to create a bigger stronger bang
