No issues at all, your car is mapped to 99ron fuel, any 99+ fuel will be ok (although BP Ultimate appears to make Imprezas even std ones run like crap).

let me remember, are yes first there was optimax,V power with improved chemistry, and now we have Nitro.its just smart marketing to add another five pence per litre at the pumps.shell has been doing this for years and it works because they know how the car modified brain works,if it gives more power you got to have it and they know this.where can i fill up?SJ.

There is a leaflet at the till, as said above its basically Optimax 3.

Petrol dropped in Leeds last week, came down a few pence so would imagine it'll be the same everywhere

I filled up it had about a quarter of normal v power and it seems to run fine they had it in the shell in Mitcham same price as normal v power but not at ever pump but if they keep both what's the betting the price will go up at some point it says it's still 99 octane plus nitro which helps clear it engine thus gaining /restoring any power lost

Yes got feeling its a ploy to phase out v power for a more over priced fuel . With inc of possible 2 Ron . Tried Tesco momentum at high revs other night it does seem to push harder at the upper 6/7 thousand rpm could feel gearbox protesting a little .

Any test will only be valid after a few weeks as the 'old' Vpower in the tanks is diluted until it's only the new stuff.

I've run two tanks of the stuff since it came out now and the placebo affect is certainly working!

That video is priceless... I mean if Jake Humprey's "Shell Nitro + Ambassador" says its good then why would we ever doubt it! He is afterall an ex F1 presenter so must know his fuels!

Do Civics benefit from higher octane? I thought it was mainly Turbo cars.

I think this should be tested vs the old vpower, they say octane is the same but the new nitro gives more power due to friction reducers, should do back to back tests on dynos..

Filled mine up on friday 140.9p a ltr, engine seems a little crisper and smoother response. also the addition of a few more flames out of the back for good measure..

When I said 'tanks' I meant the ones at the forecourt, not the ones in your cars!

Filled up today, no noticeable difference although the forecourt guy assured me I'd get better fuel consumption. That'll be nice then. I still have to stand and think before refueling though - which bright spark at Shell thought it was clever to have diesel and petrol V-Power pumps side by side and exactly the same colour?

The way I see it is, I run V Power anyway so if this new Nitro stuff is to replace it, a few improvements can only be a good thing. Will I benefit it in anyway, maybe..but either way I will continue to use it!
