Aztec Performance!!
What's up with your telephones? Needed advice last week, phone never answered. I went ahead and ordered the clutch anyway and to your credit it came next day. Turns out I also needed the spiggot bearing, tried ringing again today...no joy..got one elsewhere 8 quid. BTW, Emails never answered either.

Agreed. I never got responses on how poor the brake pads were that I bought from them. Nor after being offered it did I get a discounted set of discs for missing the special offer by a day or two.

We are one of the largest stockists of clutches and brakes on SN. We are moving a much higher volume of products than we used to, due to our very low pricing (probably why you purchased from the website, despite not getting through on email/phone). There are companies which aren't as busy as us, who will operate on higher margins and who will have numerous telephone lines etc, but you'll likely be paying more money.
Yes, at busy times (like now) it can be difficult getting through, there is only so many hours in a day. We are not robots or machines. Our first priority everyday is fulfilling orders (hence you receiving your clutch so quick), after that we can answer emails if there is any time. Phone is busy all the time with people calling through orders, asking for advice etc - rather than having an engaged dialtone it will just ring at your end. In an ideal world we would know exactly how many orders/phonecalls/emails we will receive at what times of the year and deal with it accordingly, but unfortunately it is highly unpredictable.
We service thousands of customers every year, it's inevitable that a once or twice a year someone might want to have a moan here on SN.
Would be much nicer to drop us a line here on SN via Private message saying "thanks for the speedy delivery on the clutch, but have struggled to get through to you about buying a spiggot bearing".
Must dash, phones on at 10am, last orders for next day delivery at 3.30pm, couriers come 3.45pm-4pm and we close at 5pm.

I always call about stock before I order from companies. If I don't get a response or an email within an hour I go elsewhere. I'm sure I'm not the only one with that mentality either.
I found the US companies to be the best I have ever dealt with when I owned my Mazda MPS. Online chats to staff from 7am to 7pm, immediate replies to emails and overnight FedEx deliveries.
10 til 5 hours doesn't cut it in this modern world anymore

If only we had a crystal ball to predict how busy it's going to be mate . April 2013 sales very different to January 2013 sales or the year before.
6 Years we've been running and have detailed sales reports, but it's still near enough impossible to predict how busy it will be.
I think we have it right for most of the year, it's just the very busy times that are a problem for a small minority of customers.
Temps etc just won't cut it, been there and done that. People want to speak to someone that knows what they are doing, otherwise it would be easy to employ people to take orders over the telephone.
