Default Happy with your exhaust sound?

Got my98 turbo wagon sounding just how I wanted it. I'm using standard ported headers and up pipe Ninja 3" into 2.5" 100cel bell mouth sports cat, center decat and a Prodrive rear box and it's lovely. Quiet on tick over and low revs but give it some and it's thunderous and nice pops and bangs on lift off, couldn't want for more.

All of my system was second hand by the way but it is all mint and sourced from SN members at a total cost of £200 and the 100cel sports cat has pasted 2 MOT's no problems at all. Paid £110 for the sports cat, £30 for the front decat and £60 for the Prodrive back box. I got back £60 from ebay for the old rusty cat and backbox which helped fund my 4 pot conversion at the time.

Happy with yours and what you using? Let everyone know, Steve

I've got a sti up pipe and ppp downpipe and the rest of the system is a TSL firestorm, lovely deep sound and neighbour friendly too. I love it.

I wanted a fairly quiet exhaust & was going to get a Prodrive backbox, Sadly my centre pipe was very rusty so ended up getting a standard centre & Magnex backbox for £60

Its not too loud on tick over but does give a nice burble that im happy with

Prodrive down pipe with bell mouth and sports cat, H&S straight through centre and afterburner rear box.
Nice burble and crackles on lift off, but not too loud.

How much does a resonated center reduce the sound by?

I previously had a standard cat, de res center and prodrive back box, sounded really good outside the car, but not enough volume inside, and got quieter on boost.

I also had a Scorpian suzuka back box with de res center, this sounded like thunder, but was far too loud in the car, and very droning on the motor way.

I suppose Im looking for a happy medium between the two.

The Cobra track day system seems too quite, but non track system seems too loud (according to clips on the internet)
