Legacy Estate - Big end gone - Options?
Hi,
I'm a newbie to this site. I've got a Legacy 2004 2.5SE and last week the big end went on it. I'm trying to see what options I have.
I'd be reluctant to sell to to a breakers as it would be a real shame, its a good spec car and the body work and interior are in really good condition! The other options are to sell it (with big end gone) as a fixer upper or to get hold of a second hand engine or a remanufactured engine.
Can anyone suggest where I might be able to get a 2nd hand engine from or a good company that would be able to recondition the engine at a sensible price please?
Or alternatively any breakers that deal in Scooby's specifically.
Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated in this tough time
Thanks in advance.

Twin cam 2.5NA? If so I know of a good engine we'd bought as a spare for the rally car but never used, had FSH stamped up in the book that came with it too. Inbox me if it's what you're after

Thanks bud,
A friend of mine has also recommended API Impreza, spoke to David O'Brian from API yesterday, comes across as a decent guy and was pretty upfront about options. Gone for a rebuild on the engine as this seems to make the most ecomnomic sense.
Thanks for the advice.
