Any ideas what the transmission loss is on the 2005 sti

Been Dyno'd 255 at the wheels, what sort of power would that be at the Flywheel?

Think its about 20% that would give you about 306bhp at the fly wheel

I've heard 21.8 also. Are DCCD different loss?

You can't use a pre-determined % regardless.... it depends on a number of factors. One of the main factors will be how the WHP has been measured. I.E. what type of dyno was used. Let us know what this is and we'll be able to give you finer information.

Not that simple buddy.. I don't have that information. I've just been supplied a graph an email from previous owner. He said it was done at Trackhound Racing. I've got a before of 213 whp standard and 255 whp after the remap.

Is the standard Dccd type Uk 276bhp or 261bhp? I might be able to work it back roughly from this.

If it was done by trackhound it will be a live map and road dyno

Show us the graph... we should be able to tell which dyno it is from.

You're probably going to be splitting hairs at this power level anyhow.... just use 20% in this case.

Weight of that car is circa 1490kgs iirc.

Non PPP car was 265bhp again iirc.

You take the WHP figure and devide by the remainder (loss) of the %, in this case that would be 255/80*20. You don't ADD 20% on to the WHP as that means you're calculating out to 120%. It needs to be 100%.

Correct... Using that rule of thumb it would be 318/319?

No point uploading the graphs.. They don't show much info at all Shaun unless you wanna see the curve?

Looking at the standard figure 265 and pre remap figure of 213, working this back means 20% rough transmission loss assuming the engine was indeed 265'ish. So applying that equates to 319 bhp circa
