Default bugeye fuel smell - recall name list.

If you have had the bugeye fuel smell fixed by a Main Dealer free of charge could you add your name to this list. I phoned a Subaru dealer in Northern Ireland and they hadnt even heard about it , and neither had my specialist mechanic who has owned an 02 Bugeye from new. I will have to pay to get mine fixed and am curious of how many on the mainland got theirs sorted !

Thanks in advance . (i cant be bothered to look through all the previous threads)

Model/car year/date fixed

Eg. Impreza/2001/2007

No Brendy , it was Eastwoods. Not even sure Edwin is an actual "dealer" anymore, that sign has been up there for years.

2002 bugeye wrx fixed at cost by Gatwick Subaru before issue was accepted as a common fault by Subaru UK.

Gatwick put a claim in several months later and refunded me the cost

They're not a dealer and haven't been for a long time.
The only dealer in N.I is Eastwoods

Omg my 2001 uk wrx bugeye has just started to do that when started from cold, it stops smelling of fuel after about ten mins, I thought it was the automatic choke sticking.
So I can get this fix for free ? I didn't realise it was a common fault

2002 Wrx Sti type UK. Fixed in April 2012 by TH Whites in Cirencester.

I also had them say they had never heard of the fault, but Phil Camwell e mailed or rang them and sorted it for me. The only time I went to the garage was to drop the car off.

No never was a recall. But if you are getting the smell of fuel during cold weather. It may be possible to get it fixed for free by a dealer

So am l right in thinking that you go to a Subaru main dealer and say your car as the fuel smell they repair the problem ? Mine was doing it this morning but l didn't think anything of it. 2001 bugeye.

There are quite a few threads about this , if you search you will find the info you need. This is just a list for my selfish needs as i cant seem to get mine fixed for free unlike owners on the mainland.
