At last my non prodrive STI is here (BIG GRIN) collecting it Monday
I think the standard version looks a lot meaner than the prodrive.
I never liked the looks of my classic when I first got it. I didnt like the looks of the STI when I first saw it but like the classic it is now growing on me.

Steve,
Set the shift light to 4000rpm just in case. The important thing to remember ( I'm sure you already know this ) is don't let the car labour in each gear.As I was told the engines are bench tested before the cars leave the factory.Don't drive it like an old granny, use the the gear box / brakes / engine but not excesively for the first 1000 miles, if you have any doubts drop me a line and I'll run it in for you LOL !

Again enjoy your car I love my Prodrive Version.

Arron.

Hi again Steve,
Not too sure about the PPP yet, depends on cost.
When you get your car drop me a line and would meet up as I'm not too far from you.

Pooder you are about to embark on several nightmares. You will waken up at night in a cold sweat after having dreamt of red lights flashing and a buzzer ringing in your head.
What is the cause of this ghoulish nightmare?
The early warning system at 4000 revs ahhhhhhh. You just get your foot down on the pedal and it creeps up so very very fast. The grin is forming on your face and suddenly its blind panic when you change up a gear, you then repeat this at the next dose of 4000 revs.
I liken it to Kylie tearing off her clothes, inviting you into her bedroom and slamming the door in your face.
But dont worry my friend the "Curse of 1000 miles" will pass and boy are you in for a treat.
I have had my non prodrive for a month now and clocked up 2000 miles. Kylie now invites me in without closing the door hehehe.

Enjoy
