since ive up'd the power of my blob wrx to 350bhp a creaking noise is progressively getting worse,must be a rubber mount but which one?? is there a common one to go?would it be engine mounts or suspension mounts? also if i replace engine mounts are sti ones different?

any one else had this? happens when i pull off,and on bumpy roads,on a smooth road going straight there is no noise

Is it front or rear? Drop links are quite common to creak when worn. Good news is they are fairly cheap and easy to replace (Unless you go uprated then they can cost a bit more)

It's from the front,would go uprated if I did change them,it could be them,taking it to my regular guy when I can get over there, just wondered if anyone's had similar before.thanks or reply

Hi mate try spray greasing all the bushes first and see if it stops for a short time.

Had something similar on my old 05 STI.
Get someone to grease the joints underneath, that'll probably silence it

turns out to be the intercooler under tray rubbing onto the intercooler!and the rubber running across the fins! was bloody loud though i was suprised it was that but im happy an easy and free fix
