Default Wheels spacers, good or bad?

I'm thinking to get some 12.5mm hubcentric wheel spacers purely for looks to get my wheels to sit more flush

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/perfor...mm-wheel-studs

Since these are hubcentric spacers, will there be less stress on wheel bearings?

Also, how much does it cost to get wheel bearings replaced if they are worn?

Would the above spacers allow a 5x100 pcd car run 5x114?

I don't have them on the scoob, but run 15mm on the rear of my other car. No issues at all. As long as they are hubcentric and you have longer bolts, should be fine.

No you need a hub adaptor for that. A lot more expensive.

I've researched this a lot in the past when I had my GT FOURS, there was an article on the gt4 club by a rally car builder (iirc) and as long as they are hubcentric spacers I don't think it has any effect on bearings etc so fine for Motorsport/track days etc.

I ran 25mm hubcentric eibach pro spacers on the rear of my gt4 with no ill effects what so ever.

Hth

Running hubcentric spacers in no different to the wheel bearings than running wheels with very low offset.

Personally, when you consider the lateral loads put through the wheels, especially the front, I would be nervous. However, they do look to be well made.

Insurance could be an issue.

ive heard it isnt that bad, i will be running 25mm ones on mine, its only like having a lower offset on your wheels which alot of other cars run. also heard using redline (the best one they do) bearing grease does wonders
