My local scooby dealer told me after going to a subaru meeting with the big chiefs in London that yes subaru won't be importing anymore of the current model of wrx but will be importing the next generation. I hope he is right.

This sums up why I love older cars, especially older japanese cars... it seems newer ones are less and less exciting.

The new toyota/subaru isnt a patch on some of the metal from the 90s, sadly that kind of car doesnt get produced or reach these shores anymore.

I've just had the BRZ Straight out of the showroom to stretch its legs for the weekend & done a run out with Cumbrian Scoobs in it along some nice twisty's.

I've gotta admit I do actually like the car allot. yes I know it has no turbo but to be honest I think it's pretty much Bob on, the driving position is perfect for me, Low down and part of the car with everything so close to hand, the Manual 6 speed is a lovely short throw and quite effortless to change. The Engine does seem a bit lazy at first but since I'd climbed out of my 420bhp hatch it's no surprise really as that's a torquey old b!tch, But once I got to grips with it and the way it delivers its 200bhp its pretty good, I did have a couple of @rse nipping moments.... Well lets be honest trying to drive it round corners like its AWD Big Brother without the VDC on was never gonna go well.

The suspension is nice and firm and virtually no hint of body roll in sight, the steering is very light and like a quick rack as it doesn't seem to take much to make it go where you desire.

Thats my 2p's worth for what difference it makes.
