Well after a few weeks of preparing my 2005 WRX for my first ever track day the big day is here as I am doing a Silverstone Taster experience this afternoon.

I am currently running 215. 45 17 tyres all round and have 2 spare alloys with 215 40 17 which I would like to swap over on the front or rears as I don't mind chewing them up and I can preserve the road tyres.

Would this be a bad idea as they are 40,s compared to the others which will be 45's ?

Not sure about the tyres but good luck with the track day, keep it right side up and let us know how you get on. Andy

As long as they are on the same axle there shouldn't be a problem.

All 4 tyres must be same size or will over work the centre diff. So I wouldn't fit the 40 profiles unless you for all 4
