Default Fail/Win: 237miles on half a tank

I'm not sure if that pleases me or not. I saved a couple of quid but travelling at 55mph all day seemed to knock some significant time off my life

if you want mpg get a diesel, whats the point of getting an impreza to do 55mph off boost to save fuel and waste time?

Very pleased for you. Last week I averaged 19mpg, driving my car the way it was meant to be driven.

The second half will go a lot quicker, you will probably get a little over 350 till the light comes on.

Tommy, you're such a hater! lol
I can confirm that it is a turbo classic wagon, constant motorway driving with one peepee stop.
I do realise this is not an exciting thing to do, and despite being the ripe sprog age of 29, I don't feel the need to speed ALL the time. I've got 6 points for speeding as it is, I could do with not adding to that.
Don't get me wrong, I do boost it, I just didn't today (not once )

The gauge is a little off like all of them I expect. I regularly get 180-190 miles on half a tank, but can only do 320 on a full tank at a squeeze.

480-odd to a tank?! Maybe if you pushed it off a 480-mile high tower!

The most I've ever got out of a tank was about 380 miles in my Spec D driving back and forth to Bournemouth. Was a very dull drive, not even sure why I felt the need to try and get there and back on a single tank.

I managed around 350ish in my current ride when running it in but it was a serious test of character, a bit like trying not to lick ones lips after eating a jam doughnut lol. Not something I ever wish to repeat again!

I typically get 180-250 miles to a tank depending on how quickly I want to get somewhere. Would have thought most of us averaged around that!

I'm unsure if could get to 480, as said, it's quite a chore travelling at these kind of speeds. I wouldn't want to do it again really.
BUT I try and get a feel for the fuel usage by seeing what the milage is @ half a tank, it just happened today that I managed to do my entire journey as it hit the half way point.
It's running 226bhp so not going to go through fuel like you lot do with your monster specs.

Haters be hating.

237 miles on half a tank......???? Am i reading correctly. Only achieved 320 miles on a whole tank with my blob wagon, and that was sensible distance driving, yawn! Maybe he's disconnected the turbo?! Or.... Maybe he has a funny import and everything is in KPH

today was first fillup after testing a new route, no more sitting in motorway traffic, just bumbling through small roads...

restult was all time record (for me) of 341 miles and 52.4ltrs.. 29.6mpg.
but omg its not an intresting drive..
and to make it worse, it ends at the office
