Default Rear seat belt problem

Anyone else had this problem?

My daughter got out the car and said the seat belt wasn't retracting. I then got in the back (first time i've ever sat in the back of my car lol) and got jerky with it. It retracted slightly but then wouldn't pull out or go in properly. It would just keep locking after only pulling out slightly. After a while i managed to pull the whole length out. It retracted most of the belt this time but left the last few inches out. I then pulled a bit more out and the whole belt retracted in the end but slowly.
Now i'm scared to pull it out again in case it doesn't go back in again. Is this a common issue and how to i get the plastic cover off that's on the C pillar where the belt goes in?
Thanks.

The cover just pulls out they are clipped in not hard to take out at all. I had the same problem with mine but as I've stripped mine out for trackdays its not a problem for me. I think the retraction is weak on the seat belts as my brother in law has a bugeye and the driverside seat belt does the same also.

Had that also. Simply took out the rear seats etc. to get to the mechanism, wound it all the way out and sprayed with WD40. on the belt and in the mechanism. Wound up a treat after a few more tugs. Took 10 minutes.
