Default Lightweight Seat rails

Anyone ever had any seats rails fabricated out of Ali or know where I can get lightweight seat rails for the GRB?

Hi Immy

All adjustable rails will be heavier than non-adjustable,you must decide which way will be best and which can be better on longer run

If you are only driver, would suggest go with non adjustable rails

Looks like it is going to be a mission and steel rails is probs the best bet. I was going to have some custom rails made out of aluminium, but I don't think it's worth the hassel.

Buddy club rails are the lightest adjustable rails you can get but they are expensive. You don't need side rails as the seats bolt direct to the buddy club ones.

Apparently they are not light, they are just lower after speaking to buddy club. It's the Jap way of saying low?

I had the bride rails and they weight about 7kgs then you need the side mounts for to fix your seats to which add more weight. I pulled them out in favour of the buddy club ones. I don't think you will find anything similar that is lighter.

no need for extra brackets at all, they utilise the original seat mounting points but have side mounts built in to the adjustable base so your competition seat fits straight in..........

Sounds like I need a set of these, the only thing is, my seats come with a bracket attached. It's a recaro bracket will they go straight on?

is it side or base mounted??

if side mounted then just take it off, if base mounted then a different solution may well be required

You mean Recaro seats? I don't know which models they fit exactly but mine were for base mounted seats and I had to buy side mounts to fit my Sparco seats. I would assume it would be a minor fix to fit any seat to the brides.
