when to fitt gt spec headers???

Default when to fitt gt spec headers???

car is a blob sti,running 411 bhp/349lbs,hybrid gt30,fmic,650s,3in turbo back lightly ported headers ect.
would fitting headers be a step backwards at current power level????

You would defo see an improvement with gt spec headers with that setup mate.

If you plan on going for more power then you'll benefit from the GT spec headers, but you'll need a Harvey up pipe to avoid lag. Ported are fine at your level but may prove to be restrictive if you approach mid 400s.

Yes would be deffo improvement mainly at top end and would suggest go with Venturi Up pipe or Alyn/Harvey Up pipe for better spool up

I'm currently at 440 on Harvey ported headers and up-Pipe I have a set of GTs and a Harvey up-pipe ready to be wrapped and fitted, I expect to see a good improvement.

As Jura mentioned (Harvey/Alyn) ASPerformance are supplying the 'Harvey' up-pipe
