Oil help
Hi got a uk turbo 2000 booked in for a map Friday do I change oil before or after map and what oil is best for 320-330 bhp uk car I have been told 10/40 but I want to try that millers 10/60

10w40 fully synthetic, 10w60 is too thick for your car especially in winter where it will never get up to a decent operating temp to let the oil flow properly (unless your car is burning oil like its going out of fashion in which case a 60 weight is perfect )

Ok cheers I will stick to 10/40 do u think I should change it after map as I'm getting it done at rcm and could pick up the bits I need while I'm down there

No, a good 40 hot weight oil is good for 400bhp, you really dont need a 60 weight oil in anything modern unless its getting tracked to death or burns oil.
Note that millers do a 10w40 fully synthetic, google oil and read up about the differences between the cold (10) and hot (40) numbers.

I would change it before purely for the fact the engine will be driven hard during the mapping so best to have nice new quality oil and filter for it.
