Default which filter to use?

all right lads opinions wanted here. bought opie oils oil service pack which came with an oem made filter from ufi who make filters for ferrari amongst others. wanted a genuine subaru filter so bought one from import car parts with new sump washer but when it arrived it looks tiny! compared to the ufi one its half its size! so do i stick with the genuine subaru one or do i fit the ufi one? im thinking the bigger filter will flow better? pics:

also the subaru one is shaped different to the ufi one where it screws on as one bulges inwards and the other bulges outwards?

Can't comment on the UFI filter. But I use K&N filters, which are the same size os the OE ones.... also from Opie!

The genuine ones are tiny yes.
I used the genuine one in my 07 plate Spec D, no problems.

Before you fit the filter, fill with oil and tap it gently to get the air bubbles out.
