Viewing a wrx sport wagon, 2001?
As you can see I'm new to Subaru, so need a little guidance as to what to look out for when viewing one of the above vehicles.
Apart from the normal stuff when looking at a used car is there anything in particular to watch out for.
Thanx.

Receipts, more important than service history if the owner does his own work. Listen to the engine running from cold, keep an ear for knocking or any other strange noises, although the injectors can tick a little.
I like the wagon, and was originally looking for one but all the examples I saw were well worn, and you could just tell they had been abused.
Do you know anybody in the area who has had a Subaru for any length of time, they may be able to go view with you.

Followed your advice and bought it, an absolute original example in near perfect condition allowing for the fact that its an 11year old car with 88K miles on it, bucket full of receipts and all the old mots as well, service book all stamped up.
I'll put some pics up when the weather improves and I've cleaned the beast, also pop over to newbies and intro myself.
Now the fun starts, but not too much, just subtle tinkering.
