Default GoPro Hero HD2 Tips.

Evening all!

Been a while since I was on last, not much to report with the rex, touch wood everything is going well and recently got a nice quote on my insurance renewal with the guys at greenlight

Anyway to the point, my missus very nicely got me a GoPro HD2 (Motorsport edition) for crimbo. I know a few on here have them so just looking for a bit of first time advice with them, best mounting positions, resolution etc..

Haven't got any decent editing software for it yet so open to suggestions to.

I have a Hero 3 black and mounted it for the first time the other day above my boost gauge from the drivers door using the Gopro suction cup and it gave a good drivers point of view.

One thing I do hear is when mounting outside the car the microphone become distorted easily with the rushing air. Without looking at it I can't remember if there's a line in for another mic? Would presume if there is you would run it inside the car or even in the boot to capture the burble.

I dont like to risk my unit on the outside of my car so run it on the inside so far, Got some good footage but would not want to upload it to the net if you get me

Yeah going to take the plunge tomorrow with it outside, got a few private land lanes I can test it on, although I might purchase a tether for it just for piece of mind!
