I think you're mad!
We're all entitled to opinions, and that is mine
Which Blobeye is it? What kind of classic are you thinking of moving to? What is pulling you away from the Blob towards a classic?

You might not get what you think for the blob Sure I heard that there's a WR1 for six grand something at Stan Palmer.........
Hate to think what my 400 BHP Bug is worth.......£2k? , someone is trying to sell a bug for £5000 plus on here but not sure that's going to be sold at that price.
Keep the Blob for civility and buy a cheap classic for a "change".

had a type r version 3, got a blob at moment (2 years or so). the blob is easier to live with but the type r is raw and well rapid, need to spend money on the blob as the 3 door is a lot quicker

I have a Blob wagon ppp and an STI type r, both VERY different cars as said above, it's easy to go quite quickly in the blob and it is quite forgiving, it's a bit like a riding school pony, where as in the type r you need to be a bit of a wheel man and have some experience of rear wheel drive because they can be a bit of a bucking bronco in the wrong hands and if you get it wrong they will spit you off.
As an only car i think they are a bit too much day to day especially when your not in the mood or you have a long motorway run to do.
There is also the people looking at you and the odd bit of attention you get from plod and the boy racers, which i don't like, but i'm not an attention seeker just in it for the thrills, which is why mine is in bits waiting to be turned into a track toy, i'd get rid of it and go back to sport bikes but i have a 5yr old son to consider.
I am quite often tempted to dump it and just do a big build on the blob wagon and have the best of both worlds, but there is just something about a type r that gets under your skin and i can't bring myself to let go.

This is exactly where I am at the moment. Sold my Hawk STI at the begining of the year as it was my only car and getting to much for work etc, so leased a new golf for work/general family trashing!. Now I really miss it so want something for weekend fun, meets etc and torn between a classic and blob. There is a lovely Classic RA on PH at the moment, but I cant seem to get blobs out of my system so think I will be going that route. A already said, they are completely different cars, but at my age i do like 'some' comfort!!
