FMIC/ number plate info
hello guys,
Getting the FMIC fitted near the end of the month so looking at getting a square numberplate made up but just got a couple of questions....
How and where do people mount them off to the side to allow better air flow to the FMIC?
and do people cut out the part of the bumper that is currently there to fix the number plate to? again to improve air flow?

i know it wont make any noticable difference powerwise, was more a saftey precausion.... the guy i bought the car from (hurst cars) advised i put a FMIC on as the standard Top mount isnt brillaint if going over 100mph... and as it will be used on track this will be done on several occasions.....

does it cause any problems running without tweaking the map? As my plan was to fit mods one by one, but if everythings going to need the map tweaking it could get costly/be a waste of time so id be better off buying everything and have it all fitted at once....

Me neither, seen a fair few wrecks in my time with my mate owning a bodyshop and I would be very surprised if that was 30mph.... not saying it isn't, but hmmmmm. Anyway impressed with how well it stood up to it all the same.

Same method as Justin's
To the OP, if you're going to mount the numberplate off-set, then buy a copy fog cover. Saves you putting screws through a genuine one.
