URGENT - engine fault code reader needed

Red face URGENT - engine fault code reader needed

Hi everyone,
Is there anyone in Weston-sper-Mare area that has a engine fault code reader please?
My wife has just got home and the engine light came on and Im desperate to find out what the error is as i have to use the car tomorrow!

Have you done all the basic checks first?
Fluid levels
What fuel are you running
Any modifications etc.
The ecu may not adapt to some of the above and kick out a code, having a code reader does not mean its the correct fault either, you need a full diagnostics machine for that.

I had the AA out and their machine gave the following codes:
P0123 throttle / pedal position sensor / switch A circuit high
P0223 throttle / pedal position sensor / switch B circuit high
P0420 catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 1)
P0420+ catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 1)

Hes cleared the codes for me and I will take it for a drive tomorrow to see if any faults return, and I just looking into a fault code reader so I can find out quicker rather than calling them out again.
Will speak to my local garage tomorrow for advice and to check it over but the aa mans machine showed that the throttle switch thing was working correctly

Catalyst may be caused by a Decat exhaust.
