Default need more power from my scoobie

I just purchased my first scoobie. 2007 hawkeye wrx and got the prodrive pack put in. Running at 265bhp at the moment. I am now interested in increasing more power to my car.

looking into:
bigger turbo VF34
replacing stock with STI TMIC
remap

My aim is to get up to 300-310bhp. Would the mods mentioned above get me to 300bhp or would i need to upgrade other parts as well.

VF43 or 48 turbo
STI top mount
decat
remap
panel filter

you should get more torque and power than your looking for.. Talk to Duncan at Race Dynamix - he sorted mine and the difference is amazing..

Top tip before all of them is upgrade the brakes though ;-)

I know this sounds bad but I have been modding for years now and I would sell and get an STI then just remap and 330 ish is yours for loads less grief. Just an idea.

You may need bigger injectors as I'm not sure if the wrx has smaller injectors? STI injectors can be had for quite cheap though.

thanks for the advise. I would call Duncan but wouldn't want to waste his time since i wouldn't be taking my car to him. Am in Africa so just wanted to search, purchase the parts and get it remapped in Nairobi, Kenya.

Would a uni chip (piggy back) take me to 310 bhp with the mods? or would it be advisable to remap the stock ecu or look into simtek?

I would say the stock ECU remapped would be by far the best option for you. We've never found piggy backs to be the best solution for Subarus, and the Simtek/Alcatek doesn't yet have a drive by wire version available.
You may have an Ecutek dealer somewhere over there?

Perfect.

Regarding the turbo charger. Would i be better off getting a VF34 or should i be looking at the VF43/VF48?

Would the VF34 work with my 2.5L? i searched they work fine with the 2.0L but couldn't find anything stating it would work with the 2.5L.
