cheers , hopefull all probs solved now, 02 was firked and was running silly rich, but keep killing map sensors but now know that 16.6psi is 1.15bar so i was demanding to much from the 93 1bar map sensor, does that sound right

I'm surprised that a 2 bar MAP sensor was killed by such a small amount over...usually they are rated to at least 50% over-pressure. But I don't have specific experience of this so it could be the case.

More likely that a sensor is killed by dodgy wiring, in my experience.

might be wrong but i was told the pre 95 map sensor is +1bar -1bar so 1.15 over was killing them, anyhows the after market 3bar is coming off for peace of mind as 5volts devided by 2bar = 2.5volts per bar and 5volts devided by 3.0bar = 1.666 volts per bar so i figured the voltages are wrong anyhows

You can't change a MAP sensor for a different range unless the ecu is remapped to suit.

To be pedantic, a MAP sensor measures absolute pressure (MAP=Manifold Absolute Pressure) - so 1 bar of boost is 2 bar absolute since atmospheric pressure is 1 bar.

So 1.15 bar boost is 2.15 bar absolute, which is just a few percent over range for a 2 bar sensor: which would not kill it IMHO.
