Is it a JDM or UK car? If its JDM then stock is around 240 anyway. If its UK its about 215. Have you had the car on a rolling road and has it been mapped already? I doubt you would see a 24bhp increase on a uk car from an induction filter alone.

I`ve got a JDM Wrx and was looking to up the power so I went for a VF34, Sti Pinks and a 3 port solnoid, after already having a STI top mount. But plans have changed so they maybe up for grabs shortly

Any reason you have your mind set on a TD05 or VF35? I'm running a VF34 with the usual STI mods and achieved 346bhp. If your happy with 280ish then I'm sure your current TD04 would achieve that with supporting mods. Also shop around for remaps, you should be able to get an open source map for around £350, not including rolling road time. Mapping on the road usually doesn't cost any extra. Speak to Duncan (dynaracemix), he's mobile and comes to you. Ask around the forum about his work, he's a top bloke.

i got a 2002 wrx, a td04 is fine for 280ish. if you only aiming for 280 then i wouldnt spend money on a turbo, when i went to map mine the mapper advised me on the first thing to change, eliminate both cats (uppipe and downpipe), i put in a set of pink injectors which you can pick up cheap these days, new fuel pump 255, i had a front mount anyway so that was on.
if i remember correctly i reached 293bhp.
as listed i spent £560, and £300 to map
