anyone want a nice type r?
cant believe im saying this but im possibly thinking of selling up,not 100% sure yet.
if anyone is looking for a top notch type r then get in touch and ill run through the spec etc, this is really just to test the water a bit,i dont know if i can part with her tbh but thought id start a thread to see who out there is on the hunt for a proper type r.
im have not convinced myself to sell up as yet,and will probably keep her,but any thoughts appriciated.i had a heavy night last night!

I am considering getting rid of my Bug as it spends more time sat in my garage than outside it. I have been like this for the last 2 years, as I have owned it from new it is a big part of me. Just don't rush the decision unless absolutely necessary.

It will hit you like a freight train when its gone and you see another one on the road, your first thoughts will be "what the f oo k have I done". If you need the readies for something else its a no brainer but if it just because you feel it a luxury, keep it.

its cost alot of money, time and patience to get the car to how it is now,ive put everything into it,it is very quick and 100% reliable,am i mad thinking of selling up?
its one of those things where you dont think anything of it, until its actually gone, and then you either think its ok, or it hits you like a ton of s**t.
i think as stated above i really do need to take my time in decideing what to do.its not that i even fancy a change but the sensible route with 2 kids etc does have a big part to play,am i becoming too old and boring?

It's the perfect family car, 5 seats, big boot, you don't have to Hoon about everywhere but when it's just you, you can have fun in it
When I was looking to replace my Type R a little while ago, I thought there's not much that can compete with it! The running costs aren't huge compared to my old M5 anyway
You've come too far with it to just sell up, enjoy it for a while, the R's are becoming rare in good condition!

Unless you need the money for say house improvements or the mortgage, I'd keep it. Especially given how much you've fiddled to get it how you want. That's a lot of money down the drain if you sell as you wouldn't recoupe it!

I've had my type r for over 7yrs, and for the most part it's been nothing but a money pit and trouble.
So i started to strip it and sold off a load of parts, but in the end just couldn't bring myself to get rid completely, so i still have the shell and running gear ect, i'm too busy to have a toy right now so it's tucked up in the garage, in a few years when i have time and money i'll put it all back together and start again, but i'm fooked if i'll let it go now especially at the prices they go for these days.
If you don't NEED the cash just let it sit where it is for now.
