Question Are JDM and UK shock absorbers different?

Looking at fitting KYB Ultra SRs, set of 4, then tracking for a 2001 bugeye sti.
Were JDM models different from UK models in terms of bottom brackets and the top spacers? Have a company that will deliver but they are unsure if they are different.
If someone can help then it would be much appreciated so I don't have to take the wheels off and take photos!
