Default Classic to newage - got newish car

After the death of my ace classic impreza I have finally found a replacement. Wanted another classic but just couldn't find one that was like mine that i liked as much. Having owned it for over 7 years the time and effort put into it.

So went back to a newage sti(had one before my classic)

Have bought an 03 with PPP and 18inch Prodrive alloys, 38k miles - 2 owners.

Is a nice car but at the moment I am not really loving driving it.

I think once the whiteline roll bars go on, the exhaust and remap then I am hoping I am going to like it more.

Am totally gutted about my classic but hoping this one can be made to be as much fun.

Ade

Sounds nice get some pictures up. Why are you not liking driving it though?? It is a different feel to a classic that's for sure.

I've been an avid fan of the Classic for many years and have had one in various guises from standard upto a 600bhp monster for the last 10 years or so.

I've just taken the step to a Newage and have myself a lovely JDM Widetrack STI. I absolutely love it and its by far the nicest car I've owned.

I can imagine in standard form they feel a tad tame when compared to a classic but add a bit of power then I think overall they are a better car.

Ironically I didnt feel like that when I drove a WR1 years back. Perhaps its just the JDM car thats ticking all the right boxes for me.

Been thinking on doing this update myself but with Loosing my job and the price some classics go for, think it will be a while till I have the funds.

I love my type r, but wouldn't want to have to drive it every day, i have a blob wagon PPP and while it's no monster, it's still a very capable motor and a much nicer daily.

If i didn't need the practicality of the wagon, it would be a Spec C with toys 1st choice, but if i couldn't find the right one, 2nd choice would be the JDM STI.

Just need to find time to build a 2.1 for my wagon and get it up to the 400 mark.

Classics are for play time.
