E85 questions and some general stuff
Hello there! First of all i might aswell say hello to everyone here as im totaly new to Subaru and this forum.
Been having alot of Nissans before but i felt in love for the Subaru once i drove it
One Week ago i bought my first Subaru, its a Impreza GC8 1997 Type-R (JDM)
but im a bit confused because there is alot of different versions of the GC8?
so the first question to you guys is what Ver is mine?
The plate in the Engine bay say: GC8D2DD
However the car had some mods when i bought it, like big gold brembos, BC racing coilovers, freshly build forged engine and a VF35 turbo (whats stock and how much can it handle?) and a FMIC
My goal is 450ish bhp but as im a studen i cant afford to buy it all at once so i was thinking to start out with the fuel system and a aftermarket ECU(already bought a Haltech platinum PNP) to get it running properly on E85
my guess a VF35 + E85 + having it tuned is a little bit more action than the stock ECU delivers?
What requiers to do with the fuel system to be able to handle 450ish HP in the future?
Fuelpump? Fuelrails? FPR? what injectors fit my car? will 1000CC injectors do fine on E85? do i have to change all the fuel lines under the car? what can stock lines handle etc?
Does all Ej20 fuelrails fit all ej20s so to speak?
Aswell how many kind of EJ20s is there? wich one do i have?
Best regards! and sorry for miss spelling as English isnt my native language

I would have look on the Nasioc where people(from USA,Canada etc) have more experience running the E85,here in UK you can hardly buy E85(yes you can buy race E85,but price pre litre just too much for normal people),
Few years back Morrison has sell the E85,but after UK Government halted subsidising the fuel duty,Morrison pulled out from UK market E85
