Default Wheel/tyre couriers

Any recommendations for courier companies?

Need a quote to send 4 15" wheels and tyres from Manchester to Bedfordshire?

Cheers!

Looking to use Paisley Freight to send these wheels and tyres, how much packaging would you guys recommend. The website says alloy wheels must be in boxes, but these have tyres on so no chance of finding any boxes that size.

Wrap them up in bubble wrap?

I used paisley freight a couple of weeks ago for a set of wheels, A+ service and the price was very reasonable.

You need to really wrap them up though.

I used bubble wrap and then covered this with card board on the face and card board on the rear and then covered the whole lot with plastic (bin bags) and then taped them all up with parcel tape.

I used paisley freight this week again to send a spoiler to the Scottish Highlands. Cost me £15 plus VAT for a BIG parcel. Closest i could get to that was £34 using hermes.
I went on to DHLs website for a comparative quote, £136!!!

Chris, that's sound advice from Danny, make sure the wheel faces, and inner rims are protected. Especially if they are of a decent value.

Don't be tempted to pack them in pairs, it's a right tw@t for us guys handling them.

Pairs? I've taped all 4 together and then covered them in a 2' layer of industral bubble wrap, that's OK isn't it

Nah they are now cardboard faced and each wrapped in bubblewrap separately.
