Default Blobeye: Is it JDM or UK?

Hi to everyone

Just bought myself a nice and clean 05 sti.
Equipped with DCCD and Waterspray.

But the VIN confuses me... I checked FAST and so on but couldnt figure out, if it´s a JDM or UK model.

VIN: 1GDBKH35G04xxxx
Engine Type: EJ207NW7CR
Apploed Model: GDBEKEH

What would you say? Is this a JDM model?
The speedo is kinda irritating because the redline starts at 6200, like in an UK model...

Pictures:

Would appreciate your help :/

I'll go through the givaways

It has S U B A R U on the back, JDM's dont.
Its redline is just over 7k, a JDM is 8k
Its in MPH with KMH inner, a JDM will be converted from KMH so will read (normally though there are exceptions) 180 (or 240) and wont have an inner reading.
The clocks are the wrong colour (red on a JDM).
It doesnt have a rear wiper.
Stalks are on the opposite side on a JDM.
JDM's have both auto and manual ic spray buttons
Plenty more but that will do for now

Tony

The STI engines are all EJ207, doesnt matter if its a UK or JDM, the block is the same.

The orange bits in the headlamps are another UK indicator (pun intended!)

And no strut brace.

the uk's dont have one, mine hasn't either.

Tony Burns was listing all the things this hasn't got that would make it a JDM model if it did.

Intercooler water spray bottle is under the bonnet to the right of the intercooler in a JDM as you look at it from the front and in the boot for a UK car.

Looks like a nice example.

The widetrack blob is surely the best UK Newage.

What is different about the JDM's that enables them to run a much higher rev limit?

I know the later JDMs run twin scrolls, but the earlier models all ran single scroll turbos with UEL manifolds, so it can't be just that. Are there big differences in the heads perhaps? Or is it just emissions / reliability requirements in the UK models?

Mostly the head. Large port heads, more aggressive cams, valvetrain... But they do also have different pistons, crank etc.

Thanks Errol

I think it is mainly down to emissions why the UK still run single scroll, but I could be wrong .
