Default Looking for a subaru

Hi all im after a sti for around 5K, ive seen this 1 on autotrader

I know the garage hasnt got the best reviews but if the cars good then it doesnt matter, so does anyone know anything about the car? Does it look like a genuine sti with prodrive parts? If anythin looks strange let me know
Thanks

Just be very weary mate. I've heard bad things from Keighley. A simple search of the company will prove this. Having said that my mate bought an Evo vi from them many years ago & it's still running sweet as. However he had to look at 10 other sheds at that place before he found the hidden gem!
As for this STI all I can say is that I would be cautious. As its showing as an 02 plate which means it should be a bugeye not a blob which started from a 52 plate but mostly 03 onwards. It appears to me it's had the front blobeye conversion. The alloys aren't the correct sti alloys either. As for it having ppp, there is no mention in the ad barring it saying its a prodrive? It should come with a certificate if it's ppp. Also visually there will be the exhaust & the uprated intercooler pipe (I think).
I'm sure there is other things I've missed which other members can assist u with.
Good luck in your search.

Finance is easier due to being able to get it there and then rather than waiting for a loan but after looking on autotrader and pistonheads and reading things about crappy garages i might have to go private

I thought the earliest UK blobs started was on a 03 plate. I've seen a JDM on a 52 that was for sale not long ago.

Yeah id like a modded wrx either or really. Just when you think of a modded subaru you think its been ragged about loads. Guna sort the loan and keep looking on here for a nice one for sale for about 5K or someone who will take monthly payments lol?

Are you looking to buy soon? I may part with mine as I've seen a car come up that I've always wanted. Not heavily modded but done to a decent spec and well cared for. Pm me if you're interested bud.

Why not save up so you actually own the car.

You can get finance on any car, whether it be from a garage or private sale. Blackhorse finance do finance on any car. Wot happens is u see a car u like. put a deposit down on it and explain to the person selling wot your plans are. contact whichever company your getting finance with. theyl then draw up the contract for you to sign. once youve sent this off youll then get a cheque off them. you put that in your bank. wait 3 days and hey presto you have cash to go purchase that vehicle. Just some info there for you if you thought u were limited to a garage purchase

That car should be a Bugeye! It's got the bugeye interior (seats) The STi Prodrive just means that it was the Prodrive body kit and interior version, not PPP
It's obviously been front ended (possibly insurance write-off) and re-built as a blobeye!

AVOID!
