Porsche Brakes - Will they fit under GT1's?
I've just ordered a set of Porsche brakes (the 355mm conversion from Powerstation).
Does anyone know if they will fit under 18 x 8.5 ET 53 Prodrive GT1's without spacers?

they'll be fine with gt1,
how have you managed to buy them from powerstation??? i got fed up with chasing them. i rang 3 times over a couple of months each time they said theres none in stock we'll sort some out and ring you back. iam still waiting for 3 phones calls back off them, so went for 355 ap's instead

Thanks for the feedback.
I didn't buy them from powerstation, I found a second hand set on here.
However, I'm sure Godspeed can make a custom setup using the same Porsche 6 pot calipers.

Thanks, but those aren't prodrive GT1 wheels :-)
Your set up looks awesome though, happy with it?
Anyone have GT1s and the Porsche kit??

I did wonder if the NAISOC post was about the 18 x 7.5" GT1 from the GB270. Of course a narrower rim would have more trouble clearing the caliper.

You may find you'll need a offset of 48 and below to clear these.

An ET 48 on a 7.5" rim?
That would be like an ET 60 on an 8.5" rim.

Other direction - et35mm
Make sure you've got 3mm minimum clearance spoke to caliper - unlike the previous nasioc link

No sorry, if you have a wider rim you need a higher offset to get the same brake clearance. So, if an ET48 is needed on a 7.5 inch rim, you will need an ET of around 60 on an 8.5 inch rim.

Are you sure?
I think you've just moved the wheel rim 1" inwards

I'm using 8.5" and 9" wheels with ET11 offset and have no issues with clearance. I personally would go 45 or lower to be on the safe side.

The higher the ET the further in the arch the wheel is, the lower the ET the further out the wheel

Nah, hang on, I'm right. ET is measured to the inside of the rim, not the outside. Hence, a 7.5" ET48 is like an 8.5" ET60.
That's why the website quoted in that naisoc thread states that the 7.5" ET53 rim will not fit over brembos, but the 8.5" ET53 will clear brembos.
