Default gearbox blues.........

ok,came out a little run got warmed up gave the bugeye a bit in first n second then clunk sounded like second gear had gone,wasnt far from home so thought id risk it home,onway back i could get all gears including second but it was maing realy bad noise espially in second got home n the clutch seemed ok wile pressed down so im thinking thrust bearing but ive never heard 1 make such a bad noise,anyway looks like its gearbox out, has any one swapped a bugeye clutch on their drive n what probs has any1 had or is there any advise you could give me b4 i start.or would any1 like to practice on mine.lol.cheers

Could of snapped the friction plate buddy, gearbox is easy to change. Just remember to pull the pin outa the clutch fork before you seperate the box from the engine. Theres a blanking plate with an allen key hole just to the left of the starter motor as your looking down, take that off then you will be able to feel the fork pin inside. You need to screw a bolt into the fork pin then use the bolt to yank it out. Hopefully just your clutch gone but if the clutch is fine give me a shout, I've got a bugeye box going if needed.
