Thoughts on gold wheels?
What are your thoughts on gold wheels?
Are they dated now?
I've Been offered a set of gold PFF7 wheels at a really good price, but in two minds whether or not to go for gold.

Gold wheels are as "Subaru" as big spoilers, bonnet scoops and WRC Blue.
Part of the scene imho.
I've had 4 scoobs, two of them had Gold wheels (white classic and black bugeye), both look great.
If I was young, hip & trendy I'd say they are FTW

My next set of wheels will be gold as well. (And the pink STI Spoiler stickers are gone now - previous owner put them on!).

I used to love gold on blue but I now find it too common and prefer anthracite on blue. I would only use gold wheels on black or grey cars but this is my own personal tastes and you should go with whatever colour you want and not what other people think

I was of the same opinion would like the anthracite colour but i re-furbished my alloys VOLK RAYS with gold, was white and have to say very happy with them. it depends on the colour of your car too...

Gold alloys..... It's an
STi thing.
I have gold 17" Monza Rs on my white STi 5 (with the fake 'centre nut' caps omitted). Looks great (IMO).

Can't believe the anti-gold brigade haven't been on here yet, spewing their vitriol...
Shock horror, SN is in danger of becoming CIVILISED?!

I like gold on all sorts of Scoobs in all sorts of body colours.
But I do like my standard STi wheels in silver on my Spec D, goes well with the crystal grey, and is part of the D package.
Nice picture heavy thread, love it!!!

Scoobynet is on its way up now
The chavs are leaving us
The dump valves are no longer wanted
We have had a sticky patch for the last couple of years with the uneducated and unwashed wanting to join our community
But it was the good wheels , expensive mods and detailing talks that chased them away
Gold wheels forever

Wasn't sure when I bought mine and was going to re-spray them but I've grown to like them.

Gold wheels are by far the best looking on a wr blue, black and now white coloured subaru IMO, unfortunately for me mine are silver, so they either need spraying or selling.
