Hawkeye STI handbrake adjustment..?
Changed the back brake pads about a month ago should have done it then... handbrake pulls up to far for my liking.
Anyone want to give me some pointers, not sure how it done on a scooby..
is it easy to do...

wouldnt be just adjusting the cable personally.
Slacken the cable off in the center console, Jack the rear of the car up and locate the rubber grommet on the back plate of the rear hubs, remove the grommet. Look inside with a torch you will see a star wheel bit like cars of old with drum brakes, adjust it up until the wheels lock up then back it back 4 clicks, then adjust the cable in the car to move 4-5 clicks on the handbrake.
refit grommets let the car down job done properly..

Going to have a crack at this the weekend, without sounding like a complete novice Rob, the back plate on the rear hub is this on the inside of the hub.?
It will proberbly be self explanitary when I start, but being a Carpenter can't picture this at the moment..😏want to get as much info as possible.

Lee, are you the guy with the nicest garage ever on SN? I seem to recall a garage that resembled a very tidy and clean environment, and enough room to park sideways!
