testing in Mira's wind tunnel.
Hi,
latest news......................
Scoobyclinic has been invited to Mira to put Danny P's race car in the wind tunnel.
The invite comes from aerodynamics guru Simon Mcbeath who will be there to assist us in the testing.
A one off opportunity for us to go down armed with an array of spoilers, splitters and ducting to see what really happens with down-force and aero in general.
This is a chance of a lifetime, not many people get into Mira's test grounds never mind get into the wind tunnel with a car.
Watch this space for updates as and when they come in.
cheers
Kev

it is and also a once in a lifetime opportunity for us to do some aero research.
Looking forward to seeing LIVE the effects on air flow through oil and fuel coolers with the addition of ducting of differing shapes and sizes along with the effects of different design splitters and spoilers on down force.
All we learn on our track cars, rally cars and sprint cars is all added to customers road cars, so what we learn from Mira's wind tunnel and aero guru Simon Mcbeath will also aid us to deliver an even better end product.
Cheers

This is partially as a result of our continual R&D and partially as a result of some doughnut not checking the bonnet catches during a recent test session at Blyton!

Anyone can take a car to MIRA and use the wind tunnel, it's just a tad expensive though!
Just make sure you go extremely well prepaired, as the time disapears fast! You'll soon realise once the tests start you knew **** all about what the aero was doing on the car. It's extremely usefull info, good luck.
