Default New to the fourm, VAG man to Scoobies !

Hi guys.

Im andy and live in Darlington in the north east !

Ive got a leon cupra 1.8 20vt but thought id try some subaru fun for a winter car so managed to pick up a w reg impreza classic shape that someone had dumped a ej20 turbo motor in all for £700 which i was pretty pleased about !

Just after some friendly advice on whats a must to do with this engine ? ive heard walbro fuel pumps ??

apparently its a version 2 sti lump that has 280 std and forged pistons is this right ? its also got the markings on for a close deck block or something aswell.

I did a fault code checker and its come up with some pretty alarming ones like the boost solenoid and the 02 sensor so could it be possiable that its in limp mode ?!

Any advice welcome, glad to be part of the fourm

Thanks Andy

Are you saying it originally was a Non-Turbo and someone has converted it to a 280BHP STI? Or has it always been an STI?

Jesus Christ this sounds like a huge money put if it hasn't been converted properly
