Default Service coming up

Not sure if this is in the correct group but - i have a service due in 900 miles i was wondering whats the best oil to use over the winter ... ive been looking at Valvoline Engine Oil (Synpower MST Fully-Synthetic 5W30) - Also how much oil does the engine hold?

Thanks

What's the car and spec ??

I personally wouldn't be using 5W30 in any impreza however.
