Running cold????
Hi all,
I was wondering if this is normal scooby behaviour
2001 wrx:
Doing between 70/80 mph on a long run, outside temp 4degrees, oil pressure around 4.5 bar , oil temp around 65/70 degrees, water temp ....stone cold ! If I went into slow moving traffic it would creep back up again but I have never known a cars temp gauge drop all the way to the bottom.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Thanks
Dan

Found the culprit on this...... no thermostat at all. My block came from a 98 classic and was mated to my 01' heads..... the guy that dropped it in for me must have missed to check the thermostat/housing.. i guess the car it came out of was hiding a dead head gasket by removing the thermostat alltogether... all sorted now :-)
