Default Front Top mount knocking fixed

Hi all,

for info i had a knocking noise from both my front top mounts, so i decided to have a go at eliminating this knock, what i did was to undo the top nut holding the strut to the top mount & slowly jack the car up, so the thread dropped slightly allowing me room to get a grease gun in there, i gave it a few squirts & then re-did the nut back up & 2 weeks later or approx 300 miles the knocking has still gone, hope fully this will cure it, but time will tell.

regards

shaun...

How do you adjust rear top mounts.17mm nut and 6mm allen key.Do you hold 17 mm nut and screw stud into damper using 6 mm allen key clockwise until it stops and then lock up 17 mm nut.
STI V7 original dampers.

I use a swan necked spanner with an allen key with a small bitof pipe for leverage, You can also use a suitable sized lambda sensor socket for the nut too m
