Default Insurance getting cheaper

Well on the news today they said car insurance is getting cheaper. Today I had my renewal quote on my 2005 Freelander td4 ,it went down from £438 to £340 with Swiftcover. That means this year its £20 cheaper to insure than my cs400. Its nice to see the prices falling at last

I would love to know how having a criminal record for something non motoring can effect your insurance premium?! As soon as you say yes you have a criminal record they wack up the costs- bunch of money grabbing c*unts the lot of them!

Rant over.

according to the confused.com website women below 25 could see a rise of up to 24% where as men of the same group will only see a 9% decrease, hardly puttig themselves out.

the drop in mens insurance is going to be more than covered by the rise in womens insurance

It depends on the insurer.

Some prices will come down, others will go up.

These stats about reductions are from the same people who say the average premium is over £1200, although i rarely seem premiums like that, so unfortunately i wouldn't read too much into it.

I got insurance 3 month ago and it was going to cost £2600 for 10 month but couldnt pay in one go so started monthley. Ive now cancelled that as was having numerous problems with them and just got a ten month policy for £1500 couldnt believe difference in 3month. Thats at 24 on a 96 sti wagon.

Insurance is a pain.
I am 61, with a Honda Aerodeck and pay nearly £1000, 3 points on my licence which expire in December.
Honda insurance has spiralled upwards, it seems that Honda is now the modders favourite and has gone from being an oldies car to a youngsters car.
It's cheaper for me to insure a 3 litre Legacy!!

I'm struggling to decide between a 6,7 and 8 lol 9 and 10 are out of my budget but just can't decide what to do. You can get a mint 6 for the price of a slightly higher mileage 8 but the 8 is a newer car but then I like the 7 because you don't see many of them about

All slightly different cars, your right not seen a 7 in a fair while, see quite a few 8,9 in my rear view after a race but I'm sensible and let the by unless I'm on dongtindon

They do seem to hold money well for some reason "/
