Hammer(ite) time
Well was vacuming the boot out today and decided to take a look behind the trim near the arches, low and behold the sight that greeted me was not a pleasent one, deep set rust on the inside of the out skin near where the bumper joins the bodywork well 1 hour later and high on hammerite I think I've got it all. Just be sure to check this area if you have a classic and you havnt already done so.

Did you not treat it with a rust neutraliser first? Good effort but sadly it probably wont stop it coming through the arch Probably wouldnt stop it even with a rust neutraliser if its as bad as it sounds
