Default Weird Clunk From Front

This one is weird, at low speeds when parking or turning it feels like the front wheels are locking up and there is a clunking sound, does not do it all the time.
At high speeds on lift off from yards acceration the front feels loose?
Could this be outer CV joints or front diff issue?
Some times can smell diff oil/grease, checked all the usual bushes and cv gaters etc and all seem good.
The car has. Positive feel and this is a strange one.
Any ideas.

Cheers.

Could be a driveshaft, had the same sort of thing on a Legacy a few years ago and one of them was shot.

Noticed that when parking and had the rear windows open and it seems that the rear wheels are scuffing when the clonk appears from the front
Read the there can be issue with diff locking when hot/warm related to oil as it does not do this when cold.
Could just oil change in the gearbox and rear diff solve this problem.

Have not got round to the diff oil change, the clunk is still there after drive and all is upto temp, noticed today that the rear diff was very hot?
Is this normal or due to lack of oil or possiy no oil?
Have issue the top fill plug is solid and refuses to come out.

Need to check the rear diff and change the oil.
Checked the gear box oil and is at correct level and clean.
Going to change both and hope this cures the issue.
The rear diff shoud not get so hot that you can not touch the rear cover?

Changed both rear diff and box oil with Millers 75/90 fully synthetic.
Gear box is smother but still the clonking noise when on full lock, only when hot it does this?
The oil that was removed was light brown and looked OK but did not know what had been used before.
Weird one when cold no issues???

Mines does this when the DCCD is set to give maximum power to the front wheels on the manual controler, but only at low speed.
Ive heard through threads on here that this is normal, not sure about the diff getting hot though.
It feels like the front wheels skid, and the car squeeks and clunks.

Exactly what mine does but none DCCD, weird?
Anyone confirm this is normal or fault?

Anyone have other ideas on this?
Would it be worth to have the centre diff checked?
How easy or had to do this or any advice

Thanks.
